Water is an essential element of our body. Our earth also consists 2/3 water. We even can’t imagine life without water.
We hear from everyone to save water but neglect these things that how we alone can save and utilize the water. But, a primary school of Pune “City Pride School” has shown how to contribute to the environment.
The school has taken a great initiative to utilize the water efficiently. They ask school students to drop the left water of their water bottle in the drums while leaving the school. They offer this water to plants. Now, this trend is followed by almost all schools of the Pimpri Chinchwad. These schools together have saved 1 lakh litre in the drums that were supposed to reach the canals.
The schools have received the second prize in the category Green school award conducted by Maharashtra Pollution control board.
The school also have received various awards including “Best school with highest number of awards”from Dr. Homi Bhaba committee.
See, you don’t need to work on a big platform to do something unique. Only a good work is enough to get respect and fame in the society.
Thank you to the City Pride School to open our eyes. I hope many of us will use the remaining water of bottle in watering plants.
