Even Numbers
Even numbers are those numbers that generates a whole number output when divided by 2.
Suppose, we divide 20 by 2. The result will be 10. The number 10 is a whole number without decimal thus, 20 is an even number.
Odd numbers
Odd numbers are a series of numbers that do not generates a whole number when divided by 2.
For e.g., take a number 5. When we divide 5 by 2, it will give us the output 2.5. Thus, the result obtained after division by 2 is a decimal value. Therefore, 5 is an odd number.

Some facts about even and odd numbers:
- The addition of odd number with an odd number will result into an even number.
For e.g., 3 and 5 both are odd numbers. So, when we do addition of both numbers, the result will be 8. 8 is fully divided by 2. It is an even number.
- The addition of odd number with an even number will result into a odd number.
For e.g., addition of 3 (odd number) and 4(even number) will give result 7. The number seven cannot be fully divided by 2 thus it is an odd number.
- The addition of two even number will always produce an even number.
For e.g., Take two even numbers 4, 8. The addition of these two numbers is 12. 12 is completely divided by 2. Thus, two even numbers when sum together will result into an even number.
