Is it a crime being a son of star father in India?

We have seen that people belong to royal and stardom family face criticism. Few people in the society tease them as being a son, daughter or relative of celebrity. Our community thinks that they got name and fame just because of their family and parents. Their talent has no value in the society.

Is it a crime being a son of star father in India?

The same thing happened with Arjun Tendulkar. Our society raised fingers on Arjun Tendulkar’s selection. According to them, Arjun got the place in the U-16 squad because of his celebrity father. Arjun Tendulkar is a son of Sachin Tendulkar who is the god of cricket. So, being a celebrity kid is a crime in India?

People are tweeting that he grabbed the place of Pranav Dhanawade who score 1009 runs in 327 balls. Arjun got the advantage of his father and selected in the 15 players squad.

But, please look this incident from the other side of the mirror. The committee selected 15 best kids for the u-16 tournament. The tournament is played between kids under 16 years of age. While Pranav Dhanawade crossed the age limit of 16 years on 13th May 2016. I never heard any incident where board allowed overage player in the age limit tournament

Here is his age proof: – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pranav_Dhanawade

Here are the names of player includes in the u-16 squad: –

OM Bhosale (Captain), Vasudev Patil, Suved Parker, Smit Patel, Sanpreet Bagga, Yashashvi Jaiswal, Divyansh Saxena, Neel Jadhav (Wk), Arjun Tendulkar, Yogesh Dongre, Atharva Ankolekar, Suraj Suryal, Siddharth Desai, Akash Pandey and Mukund Sardar.

Was every player in the selected squad belongs to the royal family? Was every player in the squad are kids of star cricketers?

The answer is “No”. But, some elements of our society know how to make a viral news.

In fact, we never heard the name of rest cricketers selected in the team other than Arjun Tendulkar. The star player who scored 1009 runs has passed the age limit of 16 years. So, he can’t make his place in the U-16 squad.

So, please stop criticizing Arjun Tendulkar. Show some respect to the God of cricket who never did politics in the Indian cricket team.
